The Mock Sports – Spring Racing Tipping Competition
1. Conditions of Entry
(a) The Spring Racing Tipping Competition ("Competition") is conducted by M.L CASHMORE & N.A HYLAND (ABN 46 862 593 591), trading as THE MOCK SPORTS ("TMS"). By entering the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
(b) Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older.
(c) Only residents of New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria are eligible to win prizes.
(d) Entrants who ordinarily reside in the Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania, South Australia, Western Australia or the Northern Territory may participate in the Competition but are not eligible to receive any prize or prize money.
(e) By entering the Competition, each entrant warrants that the residential address provided during registration is true and correct. TMS reserves the right to require proof of residency before awarding any prize.
2. Competition Period
(a) The Competition commences on 22 August 2026 and concludes following the final eligible race on 21 November 2026.
(b) Tips may be submitted once race fields are available and must be lodged prior to the official jump time of the relevant race.
(c) Any tips submitted after the commencement of a race will not be accepted.
3. Registration
(a) Participants must register a TMS account using accurate personal information.
(b) Participants are responsible for maintaining the security of their account.
(c) TMS accepts no responsibility for any unauthorised use of a participant's account.
4. Submitting Tips
(a) Tips must be submitted through the TMS website.
(b) Only horse racing events made available by TMS are eligible for tipping.
(c) Once a race has commenced, tips for that race cannot be changed.
(d) If a participant fails to submit a tip before the relevant race commences, no points will be awarded for that race.
(e) In the event a selected horse is scratched prior to the race, participant will be awarded the official TAB Substitute.
5. Scoring
(a) Each selection is treated as a virtual $1 each-way bet.
(b) Points are calculated using the official NSW TAB Fixed Odds declared after the race has been made official.
(c) A winning horse receives points equal to the official Win dividend plus the official Place dividend.
(d) A horse finishing second or third receives points equal to the official Place dividend only.
(e) Horses finishing outside the placings receive zero (0) points.
(f) Official race results are the final results published by NSW TAB following the declaration of correct weight. Those results will determine all points, placings and standings in the Competition.
6. Leaderboard
(a) Participants will be ranked according to their cumulative points throughout the Competition.
(b) The participant with the highest total points at the conclusion of the Competition will be declared the first-place winner.
(c) TMS reserves the right to correct any calculation or administrative error affecting the leaderboard.
7. Prize Pool
(a) The Prize Pool consists of one hundred per cent (100%) of all valid entry fees received by TMS.
(b) Unless otherwise announced, the Prize Pool will be distributed as follows:
- 1st: 40%
- 2nd: 20%
- 3rd: 15%
- 4th: 9%
- 5th: 6%
- 6th–10th: 2% each
(c) Prize money will be paid by electronic transfer following verification of the winning entrant's details.
(d) Prizes are not transferable.
(e) The Prize Pool is calculated from all valid entry fees received by TMS before the commencement of the Competition.
(f) Before any prize is awarded, TMS may require a winner to provide reasonable proof of identity, age and place of residence. If an entrant is unable to satisfy the eligibility requirements, the entrant will forfeit the prize and it may be awarded to the next highest-ranked eligible entrant.
8. Bonus Prizes
(a) TMS may, at its discretion, offer additional prizes supplied by sponsors throughout the Competition.
(b) Bonus prizes are separate from the Prize Pool and may be awarded subject to criteria determined by TMS.
(c) Sponsor prizes may be substituted with a prize of equal or greater value if they become unavailable.
9. Winner Notification
(a) Winners will be contacted using the details provided during registration within seven (7) days of the Competition concluding.
(b) Winners may be required to verify their identity before prizes are awarded.
(c) If a prize remains unclaimed after three (3) months, TMS may award the prize to the next highest ranked eligible participant.
10. Participant Conduct
(a) Participants must not create multiple accounts, submit fraudulent entries or engage in any conduct that compromises the fairness of the Competition.
(b) TMS reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches these Terms and Conditions.
11. Privacy
(a) Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for administering the Competition.
(b) By entering, participants consent to TMS contacting them regarding the Competition and publishing their name if they are a prize winner.
12. Miscellaneous
(a) TMS reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel the Competition where reasonably necessary.
(b) TMS is not responsible for technical failures, internet outages or other events beyond its reasonable control that affect participation.
(c) Except where liability cannot be excluded by law, TMS excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from participation in the Competition.
(d) If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
13. Promoter Details
(a) The competition is conducted and administered by The Mock Sports (TMS), operated by M.L CASHMORE & N.A HYLAND (ABN 46 862 593 591).
(b) The official competition website is tipping.themocksports.com.au.
